  Dr. Ryan Becker

  It is extremely rewarding to have an opportunity to positively impact the lives of entire families by creating beautiful, straight smiles. Orthodontics provides me with a unique opportunity to improve a patient’s health, self-esteem, and self-image, and the gratitude they express when their results exceed their expectations is truly amazing. My team possesses a unique combination of knowledge, experience, and enthusiasm to deliver truly exceptional patient care. We all strive to create a comfortable and upbeat environment where our patients will feel like they’re in the very best hands. I believe it is so important to continually improve and upgrade my clinical techniques in order to offer my patients the best and most efficient care available. After completing my formal education at Temple University, I have taken numerous courses and have attended many seminars regarding the most effective, efficient, and comfortable orthodontic treatments. I grew up in Allentown in Pennsylvania’s Lehigh Valley. I currently reside in Eagleville with my wife who is also in the healthcare field and our three daughters. When I’m not in the office I enjoy going to the beach or national parks with my family.

  Education:

• Dr. Erika Johnston

  Dr. Johnston graduated from Ursinus College in 1999, where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in biology, with a minor concentration in exercise and sports science. She earned her Doctorate of Dental Medicine from the University of Pennsylvania in 2004. Dr. Johnston went on to complete a general practice residency in hospital-based dentistry from Lehigh Valley Hospital in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. Prior to relocating to Montgomery County, she practiced dentistry for seven years in her hometown of Mt. Laurel, New Jersey. Dentistry is rapidly changing, and Dr. Johnston is committed to continuing her education so she can offer her patients the most modern, personalized care possible. She participates in numerous continuing education courses to stay updated on the latest research and newest technologies in dentistry. Dr. Johnston has experience treating all members of your family, so please ask her about dental prevention and treatment for you and your children. Dr. Johnston, along with her husband, Ryan, and three daughters, are delighted to reside in the area where they have many interests as well as a sincere desire to contribute to the wellness of the community.

  Lisa Carns

  Clinical Assistant

  Lisa is what you call a "lifer" - she has been with the practice for 35 years (and counting!) She is a lifelong resident of Phoenixville who graduated in the top 10% of her class from Phoenixville Area High School. She and her husband, Richard, have 2 daughters. One who is a registered cardiovascular invasive specialist at Geisinger Hospital, and the other who is a clinical research associate at Fox Chase Cancer Center. In her spare time, you can find Lisa at the dog park with Daria, her energetic 5-year-old lab/coonhound mix.

  Carissa Graten

  Clinical Assistant

  Carissa has a degree from the Contemporary Health Career Institution with a focus in dental assisting. In conjunction with her degree, she brings 9 years of customer service experience to Becker Orthodontics! When Carissa is not at the office, she spends her time on upcycling projects, painting, and binge-watching her favorite shows.

  Chelsea Bolger

  Clinical Assistant

  Chelsea has been in the dental field for two years and brings her 10 years of customer service experience to Becker Orthodontics. She is a current student of Montgomery County Community College working towards a degree in dental hygiene. Chelsea enjoys shopping in her spare time and has three children; Rich, Carson, and Lacey.

  Chelsea Berkowitz

  Scheduling Coordinator

  Chelsea graduated from Bloomsburg University in 2017 with a bachelors degree in Communication Studies with a minor in Political Science. She brings six years of customer service and client communication experience with her to Becker Orthodontics. Chelsea was born and raised in Philadelphia and is an enthusiastic fan of all Philadelphia sports teams. In her time outside of the office she enjoys skiing, biking and playing board games.
